The Transferring of the Credits in the University
The search of the most appropriate and cheapest educational program needs a lot of time and efforts, but in the future it saves a lot of money.
One of the best ways to save the money and to obtain the credits is to begin the studying in the local university and junior college. During the further studying these credits can be transferred into the curriculum of the other university. The acceptation of the credits depends on the university. Usually the nonspecialized subjects are accepted without problems, but the profile subjects must be retaken.
The transfer process can be different in different universities. The earned credits can be transferred singly, in blocks, or in full program. The single transferring means that the one course transfers into the same course in another university. The transferring in blocks implies that two or more courses are transferred. The transferring in full programs means that the associate degree from the local college transfers into university as the credits of the first two years curriculum).
There are many websites which provide the full information about the credit transfers. There are three main types of such websites: the sites with general information about transferring in the US; the sites about the transferring in the area of the one state; the sites devoted to the transferring in the particular university
There are some factors which influence on the transferring process, such as investing time and costs of the course.
Before the transferring it is desirable to examine the course catalogue of the chosen university. There is a list of general courses there, which can be transferred from the junior college. It is good idea also to send the letter of inquiry to the university concerning the transferring politics. It is desirable to write to the Dean of the School or to the Chairman of Department. Usually they give the answer with the detailed description of the transferring process in the university.
